Second Term.

Creativity.
Fun.
Effort.
Emotions.
Finals.

I cant tell if I was delirious on my drive home from school after my last final, or if I was just so ready to write this post. I just started thinking about the words I would use to summarize, those are what came to mind.

Not really knowing where to start Ill see if I can go back as far as possible and just pick through the last fourteen weeks the best and worst.

Firstly I want to talk about the politics of this place and knowing when to be hands-on and when to check out. You need to be aware of how involved you will want to be around school, be that with your friends or your instructors. I learned this the good way, and thats because I have worked very hard on my networking skills and my communication / social skills. Its a talent in progress but it comes from speaking frequently with friends and even handling conflict. If you are unable to socially communicate then it will be exponentially more difficult. So thats me on my soapbox about these recurring issues, because I will touch on them later.

I played a lot in the beginning. I chose to go out and eat, I cared little and I wanted to continue to experience as much as possible. I was burned out on the place still some. I cannot express to you how much first term had changed me.

Once classes started to pick up more we were in the shop at the beginning of the week and doing 30 pages of sketches by the end of the week. Fairly consistent until midterms. I had friends come to visit me this term as well, it was stressful but I managed.

After midterm it was like someone took a hammer to the bell and the races started. From the midterms in my 3D class we were given an assignment where we had to create a speed form.

I think that what this post is going to turn into though, is the final word on an issue with an individual that I have been having an issue with for over a year now and I want to close this chapter as much as I want to discuss it and put it out there so I do not have to carry it any longer.

When you deal first handedly with a problem classmate you go through these range of phases of conflict resolution. With yourself and that person. What this turned into though was a constant battle with someone who is a fraud and a liar. By doing something right in front of us (and from this point forward let me clarify by referring to 'us' and 'we' as my fellow classmates so I am not forced to follow the syntax) he felt that justified his actions and he was doing no wrong.

I want to say this and say this clearly so you dont make stupid decisions and you know what to do if this ever happens to you.

You should always do your own projects with little or no help from others.

There is a line between creative collaboration and someone doing your projects for you.

People are always paying attention to you. Treat your everyday as if someone is watching you do what you do, in the event of a conflict someone can have your back. Otherwise once you burn those bridges of yours, and you continue to do your process with the help solely of others, no one will speak for you when the questions are raised. More or less, do not SCREW up.

Just keep your credibility.

After that, you get the photos, they show a bit more process and they will show you the tape drawing I also worked on and completed.

If you have any questions feel free to add in the comments, in the mean time I am ready to show the pictures because I have to get ready for bed. Im going to visit my parents and grandma soon :)

I need to also add that I went to Pebble Beach Concours this weekend. It was amazing.

Im thankful to be here. So thankful. My friends and my family. This is my life now....

Look for the keywords :)
